NIHR CRDC: North Midlands

NIHR CRDC: North Midlands delivers inclusive, patient-centred commercial research across North Staffordshire with a strong focus on improving access for all communities, including those who are digitally excluded or traditionally under-served, working in partnership with Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent.

The centre brings together rapid, streamlined study set-up with fully integrated pharmacy, pathology and imaging services, supported by a skilled multidisciplinary workforce. This includes a CRDC manager, dedicated patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) team, research delivery practitioners, communications and engagement support and data and administrative colleagues.

Our dedicated commercial development function supports the efficient set-up and delivery of studies, enabling us to consistently meet industry timelines, including the 150-day study start benchmark. This provides sponsors with a reliable, high-quality research environment and confidence in delivery.
