The NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre in Primary Care: Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire delivers high-quality, rapid, and reliable commercial research built on over 30 years of consistent performance. At its core, the Hub Research Unit at Wansford Surgery has completed more than 80 commercial studies across cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infectious diseases and MedTech, consistently exceeding recruitment targets and achieving a 97% participant retention rate.

Contract execution timelines of around two weeks enable fast study start-up, supported by experienced teams delivering dependable results across Phase IIB and III trials. Recognition as a Moderna Vaccine Innovation Pathway (VIP) member and a GSK PEER site (one of only five in the UK) demonstrates sponsor trust and quality, reinforced by many partnerships with multinational pharmaceutical companies. 

Operating through a single-contract, multi-location model, the centre provides streamlined access to a coordinated network for efficient delivery. Integration with local health systems ensures collaboration while maintaining clear accountability.
