NIHR CRDC-PC: North Somerset

NIHR CRDC-PC: North Somerset brings together a highly experienced, multi-professional team of more than 15 staff, including six research-active GPs and specialist research practitioners with up to 16 years of academic and commercial trial experience. Serving a registered population of over 100,000 people across eight GP practices, we provide access to diverse communities, including Deep End practices.

Recognised as a leading commercial research site, we have a proven track record as both a high-recruiting site, achieving First Global Patient and second-highest UK recruitment rankings in commercial studies. Our success is reflected in longstanding partnerships with commercial sponsors and our ability to deliver studies efficiently through a multi-location model.

Working in collaboration with Mendip Vale Medical Group, NHS partners including University Hospitals Bristol and Weston and North Bristol NHS Trust, and academic institutions such as the University of Bristol and UWE Bristol, we support research delivery across a wider network covering approximately 1.2 million people.

With dedicated research facilities available seven days a week, flexible participant appointments, access to community and secondary care diagnostics, and local laboratory support, we deliver high-quality research with participants at the heart of everything we do.
